International Mission
Godalming Baptist Church has for many years supported various mission organizations and individuals. A selection of current and past missions are shown below
Louise and Peter Lynch always felt called to mission and were excited when this came to fruition in 2018 with their move to Dhaka.
Peter previously trained as a pastor and Louise as a social worker. Working alongside the leaders of the Bangladesh Baptist Church Sangha (BBCS), they use their skills in training, teaching and pastoral care.
They build and nurture partnerships between Baptist churches in Bangladesh, BMS World Mission and other partners.Louise and Peter also work with the College of Christian Theology Bangladesh (CCTB).
They have recently been supporting the ordination of new pastors, including some of the first women.Louise and Peter are from Worle Baptist Church in Weston-Super-Mare. They have two sons, both currently studying at university.
Our Aims

To prevent or relieve poverty or financial hardship for vulnerable peoples, orphans (HIV/AIDS & Conflict), the elderly and those living with disabilities around the world by helping them generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.

To advance the education of pupils at schools in rural areas around the world by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the schools.

To promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public by relieving poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities.

Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
